These were the words of a very humbled individual. A man that was born into a family of zen priests and is part of a linegage of Zen priests. A 14th generation Zen priest, Shimamoto Katsuyuki is the head of the Shosenji Zen Temple and Shosenji Aikido Dojo in Osaka, Japan.
Till date, one of the very few surviving student of the late founder, Morihei Ueshiba, Shimamoto shihan is a highly sought after Aikido and Zen practitioner throughout the Netherlands, Poland, Israel Canada and Singapore. has been to several other countries conducting seminars and Zen teachings.
