The Integral Dojo is happy to announce a 14-Day Vipassana meditation retreat with Sayadaw U Vivekananda and Miles Kessler.
On this 6th visit to Israel, Sayadaw U Vivekananda and Miles Kessler will be offering a live-in 14-day retreat at Libi Center in northern Israel at kibbutz Hukuk. This retreat is a wonderful opportunity to experience a traditional meditation practice and excellent guidance with one of the most highly regarded teachers in the Mahasi tradition. If you are interested in awakening the Dhamma in your life and deepening your understanding of the path then please join Sayadaw U Vivekananda and Miles Kessler for this 14-day.
Dates:
April 20th to 23rd: The first 4 days of this retreat will be lead by meditation teacher Miles Kessler
April 24th to May 3rd: The last 10 days of this retreat will be lead with Sayadaw U Vivekananda, with assistance by Miles Kessler.
The Retreat:
This retreat will be held in the Mahasi tradition and is a silent retreat with 16 hours of practice each day, alternating between sitting and walking meditation periods. There are 2 meals per day, breakfast and lunch, and a light juice during the break period in the evenings. Each yogi will receive daily interviews to support their practice.

About Sayadaw U Vivekananda
Sayadaw U Vivekananda is the abbot and resident teacher of the Panditarama International Meditation Center in Lumbini, Nepal. U Vivikananda is a direct student of the Ven. Sayadaw U Pandita of Burma, in the Mahasi meditation tradition. For over 14 years U Vivekananda has been guiding hundreds of yogis almost daily in both Insight and Loving Kindness meditation at the Panditarama Meditation Center in Lumbini, Nepal. In addition to teaching in Nepal, Vivekananda has been leading retreats internationally for over 12 years in Europe, Australia, the U.S. and Israel. This will be Vivekananda’s 6th Dhamma visit to Israel.
About Miles Kessler:
Miles is a practitioner and teacher of Vipassana meditation in the Mahasi tradition of Burma. He has been a student of U Pandita and U Vivekananda for over 10 years. Miles spent over 2 years on full time retreat in Burma practicing under the guidance U Pandita. He spent another year on retreat in Lumbini, Nepal under the guidance of U Vivkeananda. In 2005 Miles completed his formal Vipassana training in the Mahasi tradition under the guidance U Vivekananda and has been guiding yogis in Vipassana meditation since 2006.
Miles regularly leads meditation courses, day retreats, and extended retreats in Israel and Europe.
Costs:
Room and Board: All participants will need to pre-pay for their basic retreat costs of room and board upon registration.
Teachers: This 14-day retreat is being held on the traditional “dana” system, with the participants offering donation for the guidance from the teachers at the end of the retreat.

Opportunity to Serve!
* We are looking for a volunteer retreat manager for this retreat. As the retreat manager your food and accommodations will be provided and you will have sufficient time for meditation practice each day. The service of a retreat manager includes setting up the retreat grounds according to simple, predetermined instructions, handling the registration, seeing to the yogi’s needs during the retreat, taking care of the teacher’s needs and closing up the retreat when times come.
